Banner graphic is done. This was probably a better idea than trying to do two different graphics for the top, unfortunately it took about 12 hours and 8 Mt. Dew Amps in order to make this happen. I’m wired and I need to pee. Next up are the comments and posts… as of right now I haven’t even touched the templates for those, which is why they still have that grade-school look going on. Shouldn’t be too hard though, it’s not as though anything else with evo has been!

If you’re using Firefox you should notice the syndication icon down in the lower-right corner. One of the nice yet somewhat useless features of the browser is to be able to bookmark a syndication as opposed to just a page, then you can just check your bookmarks for updated posts and it’ll have direct links to them. I personally wouldn’t use something like this, but it’s still cool.

Well, the hard part’s done. Evo took the old layout much better than I thought it would. Now I just need to clean up all the other shit and finally figure out what I’m going to do with that LOGO GOES HERE thing in the upper corner that’s been there for months. I had an idea that looked good in theory, but just ended up looking like ass once I got it done.

Well, I like the old design, and I like the new software. I’m currently working on putting the two together, so things are going to look strange for a few days.

And so ends the hunt for “something different.” I’ve found b2evolution to be just about the slickest thing ever – it does everything boastmachine was supposed to do, has a full backend (in several hours of getting things set up, I’ve not once opened up a shell window), looks and acts cleaner, and has options for expansion that I’ll be looking into for a side project I’m working on.
